Rochdale have completed the loan signing of Aston Villa midfielder Kane Taylor until January. The 21-year-old, who has yet to make his senior debut for Villa, will join the League One side after previously spending 16 appearances on loan at Oldham in League Two last season. Taylor scored two goals during his time at Boundary Park, contributing to Oldham's campaign in the fourth tier. The deal comes days after Taylor netted for Villa's Under-21s in an EFL Trophy defeat by Wigan on Tuesday. Rochdale manager Ian Watson praised the acquisition, stating: 'He brings a lot of athleticism and quality to the team, alongside experience in League Two.' The move marks Taylor's second loan spell in as many seasons, following his initial stint with Oldham. The midfielder, who has not yet featured for Villa's first team, will now aim to secure a regular role at Gigg Lane.
